Florence Knoll Table - Round (1350mm)
Florence Knoll 1961 - With her typical modesty, Florence Knoll described her own line of desks as the “meat and potatoes” which had to be provided. “I did it because I needed the piece of furniture for a job and it wasn’t there, so I designed it.” While this may have been the motivation for the 1961 Table Desk, the result is anything but a fill-in piece. Perfectly proportioned and flawlessly detailed, the design embodies Florence Knoll’s adherence to the teachings of her favourite mentor, Mies van der Rohe.
